Configuration Control Board for the National Source Tracking System

Purpose: The mission of the NSTS CCB is to ensure that the NSTS is maintained in a manner that is responsive to NRC business needs while ensuring sustained compliance with applicable information system standards and requirements.  Consideration will be given to a full range of standards and requirements including those related to system security as well as effective software engineering and project management practices.  Additionally, the CCB will ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and alignment with the overall NRC enterprise architecture.  To accomplish this, the CCB will implement and administer repeatable processes for review and disposition of all Change Requests (CR’s).  These processes will support the key concepts of release-based system maintenance.

The primary responsibility of the NSTS CCB is to administer the review, approval, disapproval, deferral or transfer of all CR’s.  These processes will be performed by CCB members or designees, as deemed appropriate. The CCB is responsible for determining what is contained in each maintenance release of the NSTS.
