| 11/01/13 | Course Changes: The following courses have been added to the FY2014 schedule:
RESRAD - (H-410) - April 1-4, 2014 at the TTC RESRAD Off-Site - (H-411) - August 19-22, 2014 at the TTC The following courses had a date change to the schedule: BRACHYTHERAPY & GAMMA KNIFE (H-313) has changed dates to June 9-13, 2014 instead of January 6-10, 2014 MILDOS (H-413) - June 10-13, 2014 instead of April 1-4, 2014 and its in Rockville, MD If you have any questions regarding the changes please contact Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov. |
| 08/05/13 | Rescheduled S-201 Course - November 4-8, 2013 - Chattanooga, TN: As a reminder, the S-201 NRC Materials Control, Security Systems, and Principles course has been rescheduled for November 4-8, 2013 at the NRC Technical Training Center in Chattanooga, TN. This course has been revised to include 10 CFR Part 37 and will no longer address Increased Controls. A document that compares 10 CFR Part 37 and the Security Orders will be provided to the students in the reference materials. Note: The technical content of the course largely remains unchanged from previous course offerings.
The November course, and future offerings of S-201, is intended as initial training for new inspectors and individuals who have not taken S-201 previously. The NRC is developing refresher training for experienced inspectors and individuals who have previously taken S-201. Information about this refresher training will be provided at a later date. Anyone interested who has not taken this class should submit a training application to Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov. |
| 07/24/13 | Change in Dates for H-111 Environmental Monitoring Course: It has come to the attention of the Technical Training Center that the course offering for Environmental Monitoring (H-111) was originally scheduled on a Federal Holiday. Therefore the dates have changed and will now begin on the following Monday - October 21-25, 2013. Anyone registered for this class and know they cannot make these dates please send me an e-mail and I will remove you from the course list, otherwise I will assume you can attend and proceed with selection at the 8-week mark.Any questions can be directed to Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov or 301-415-2348. |
| 06/19/13 | Postponement For The Increased Controls Course (S-201) - August 5-9, 2013: The Increased Controls Course (S-201) which was going to be held in Chattanooga, TN on August 5-9, 2013 is being postponed until later in the year. The Technical Training Center (TTC) wants to postpone the class due to TTC staff needing more time to prepare the new curriculum for the course. TTC hopes to reschedule this course before the end of the calendar year given resource dollars will be available. | 04/30/13 | Additional Course Dates for Diagnostic And Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine Cousre (H-304): The NRC has confirmed the additional training offering for the Nuclear Medical Course for this calendar year. It will be held on December 2-6, 2013 in Houston, TX.

| 04/11/13 | Additional Course Dates For The Brachytherapy, Gamma Knife And Other Medical Uses Course (H-313): The NRC has finalized the dates for the remaining two classes for this calendar year. The H-313 course will be held on August 12-16, 2013 and December 9-13, 2013 in Houston, TX.

| 03/26/13 | Correction to dates for medical courses: The NRC has completed the process for finalizing the contract for the Medical Technology Courses. The first course that will be held under the new contract is the Brachytherapy, Gamma Knife, and other Medical Uses Course (H-313). This initial H-313 course has been scheduled for June 17-21, 2013 in Houston, TX. Anyone interested in attending this course should submit their training application to Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov (preferred method) or fax to 301-415-3502 The dates for additional H-313 courses are being finalized, but will tentatively be in August and December of 2013. Once the dates are final, a notice will be sent out. As for the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine Course (H-304), the dates are still being negotiated with the contractor. The first course will tentatively be held in August 2013. Once dates are finalized we will let you know."
