10/19/11 Gas and Oil Well Logging Course (H-314), Houston, Texas. Dates changed to April 23-27, 2012. If you have registered for this course your training application will be moved to the new dates.

06/02/11 Advanced RESRAD Workshop (H-412): August 2-4, 2011 in Bethesda, Maryland. One-day review of the RESRAD computer code. The remaining two days will focus on realistic D&D scenarios for a variety of facility types and sites, including actual D&D experiences for NRC licensed facilities.
Interactive computer demonstrations will guide the participants through data input and output steps. Instructors will help the students complete the hands-on problem solving sessions throughout the workshop.
Recommendation: attendees first take the RESRAD Workshop (H-410) or have some previous experience with the RESRAD computer code before taking this advanced course.

05/17/11 Health Physics Special Topics (H-401) - MARSAME
The Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Assessment of Materials and Equipment is a supplement to the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM). MARSAME provides technical information on approaches for planning, implementing, assessing, and documenting surveys to determine proper disposition of materials and equipment. This four-day training course focuses on the methodology and practical application of the MARSAME standard. This standard supplements the MARSSIM manual that has become the basis for real property Final Status Surveys.

01/26/11 Health Physics for Uranium Recovery course (F-104), originally scheduled for May 23-27, 2011 has been cancelled. The only offering will be July 11-15, 2011 and the location will change to Austin, TX instead of Bethesda, Maryland. Anyone who was registered for the May course will be moved to the July 11-15, 2011. Anyone that was registered for the July course will remain on the list. Please be aware that the location of the course has changed.

01/04/11 Four courses have been added for the Irradiator Technology Course (H-315) They will be held in Quebec, Canada on May 16-20, 2011, July 11-15, 2011, September 12-16, 2011, and October 3-7, 2011 Priority will be given to States who have Irradiators in their States. Anyone wanting to apply should send their training application to Brenda Usilton at Brenda.Usilton@nrc.gov or fax it to 301-415-3502. Since this course will be given in Canada this is considered foreign travel and travelers will need to have a passport. If you have any questions please call Brenda Usilton at 301-415-2348.
